Oakland University (OU), in Auburn Hills, is offering a new Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning. This one year program is administered through OU’s Professional and Continuing Education unit and consists of six months of coursework, topic-specific practice management webinars, and individualized instructor mentoring through scheduled office hours. The coursework entails a blend of instructor-led classroom courses and online format.
As one of the first programs in the country to be registered by the CFP Board, Oakland University’s program meets the standards and eligibility requirements to sit for the CFP® Exam. After completion of these six, four-week courses within the program and the completion the CFP® Exam review you will be eligible to sit for the CFP® Exam.
This opportunity is designed for professionals in the financial planning field with 3 years of experience and a bachelors’ degree.
