Some of life’s most important lessons are not taught in school.
These include such lessons as how to run a household, manage a monthly budget or buy a house. But now students who participate at Quicken Loans JA’s Finance Park can learn budgeting and finance skills they will need to become financially responsible adults. Quicken Loans JA Finance Park is a state-of-the-art, hands-on learning center in Detroit! Junior Achievement teaches middle and high school students how to create and maintain a monthly budget.
Quicken Loans JA Finance Park is a Junior Achievement program that teaches financial literacy concepts and career exploration opportunities. At the end of the program, students have a one-day budget simulation where they’ll put their knowledge into practice. The result? An understanding of the importance of developing a personal budget, maintaining good credit and recognizing the true cost of financing purchases.
PLEASE JOIN YOUR FELLOW FPA OF MICHIGAN MEMBERS on Wednesday, May 8th for a day of volunteering at Junior Achievement’s Finance Park (on Larned Street in Downtown Detroit — free parking provided).
