The Financial Planning Association supports Operation Homefront, a non-profit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.
A key service Operation Homefront (OH) provides is that wounded veterans are matched with a donated home and live in that home as OH’s ”tenants” for a period of one to two years. In order to receive the new home, the nonprofit requests proof that the veterans have gone through the financial planning process and have a financial plan.
A requirement that has created an opportunity and need for our FPA member’s support. We received a request from FPA National to identify a Certified Financial Planner® to assist a veteran who currently resides in New Haven, Michigan. It would be especially helpful if the planner had knowledge of military benefits.
